In 2016, Focal upgraded its legendary made in France K2 power line to satisfy the high expectations of the most demanding car audio enthusiasts. We bring a whole new design with a modern style, a redesigned frame, a machined aluminum tweeter mounting and also exclusive technologies as TMD® surround, revolutionary M-shaped tweeter, but, still by keeping the symbolic K2 composite sandwich cone, recognizable by its yellow color.
We also launched in 2016 our new FPX premium amplifier line to have a complete electronic offer for all car audio enthusiasts. And this line will keep growing soon.
We are now already in 2017 but we did not stop there and we kept thinking with our engineers how to improve our range? How could we create for example the best product on the market to connect your head unit to your amplifier system? How could we make it possible for you to shape and fine-tune the audio spectrum to create your very own musical experience?
All these thoughts bring our team of engineers to the creation of our first DSP: the FSP-8, the ultimate digital sound processor for optimizing and shaping the audio signal. It features six selectable high and low level inputs (compatible with all head units). It also integrates an optical digital input (24 bits/192Khz) to provide high-resolution sound quality and an auxiliary input for other devices as digital audio players, Smartphones… To allow easy access to most customers and being able to control it from a laptop, we designed an ergonomic, user friendly interface with 2 modes: ‘’standard’’ for car audio enthusiasts and ‘’expert’’ for high-end sound quality installers. In just a few clicks, you access to all the strategic settings, reducing setup time and optimizing your listening sessions. An optional LCD remote control (sold separately) is also available to improve user experience even more.
Focal has probably one of the largest car audio line-up on the market (more than 27 new products launched since 2016 and 85% of our range was redesigned over the last 5 years) which allows the creation of easy, accessible installations or even more demanding, competition installations.
